With district enrollment expected to climb as development increases, Marysville Unified School Trustees are looking at changing school attendance boundaries today, along with a bond measure to build new, or repair existing schools.
The changes at this afternoon’s study session involve Linda, Edgewater, Johnson Park and Yuba Gardens Schools.
The “What If” session looks at possibilities. Like making Johnson Park a 6 through 8th grade school, and how that would affect Yuba Gardens Intermediate School.
Or making Yuba Gardens, Johnson Park and Edgewater 6-8 schools. Or making Linda a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade school. (Click link for presentation information.)
The discussions follow a review of what it takes to get a school facilities bond measure on the ballot, for voters to approve. (Click link for presentation information.)
The superintendent’s performance is being reviewed in closed session prior to this open meeting. That starts at around 4 PM.
Due to a schedule conflict, we won’t be able to carry this meeting live. But you can watch on the MJUSD YouTube Channel
