The death of of a woman found along Simpson Lane Thursday afternoon is being called “suspicious” by Yuba County Sheriff’s detectives. The body was reported around 2:30 PM, on the south side of the road, east of the Simpson Lane bridge over the Yuba River.
Deputies were searching the roadside and an orchard where the body was discovered. That’s in the 1200 block of Simpson Lane.
In a short, three paragraph media release found on social media, the Sheriff’s Office said “No identifying information of the deceased is being provided at this time. If you have any information in reference to this case, please contact the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department at (530) 749-7777.”
