It’s part of preparing a Project Homekey grant application. Homekey 3.0 is a continuing statewide method to quickly expand housing for homeless or people at risk of homelessness.
If granted, that $19-million would help build the first phase of Merriment Village Apartments. It’s a four-story, 79 unit building fronting Walton Avenue, just north of Franklin in Yuba City.
The City’s being asked to forego various construction permit, utility connection and development impact fees totalling almost $1.8 million, and contribute $155,000 a year to project operations. Habitat for Humanity is making the request. Watch what happens LIVE tonight at 6PM right here on Yuba-Sutter.LIVE
